Do I need a referral?

Not at all. Book directly online and come straight in. No GP visit required.

Do I need to use softening drops beforehand?

In most cases, no. Unlike syringing, microsuction can be performed on the day without any preparation.

*We recommend that children under 6, tradies, and those who have had recent failed syringing use softening drops for a smooth experience.

Is it painful?

Most patients describe a mild tickling sensation at most. Microsuction is widely considered the most gentle method of ear wax removal – far more comfortable and effective than syringing or ear candling.

How long does it take?

Most appointments are completed in around 15 minutes. Your nurse will assess and clear both ears in the same visit.

Is it covered by Medicare or my health fund?

This is a private clinic and is not covered by Medicare. Some health fund extras may provide a partial rebate – we recommend that you check directly with your provider.

Can my child come in?

Yes – children from the age 4 are welcome. For children aged 10 and under, please call us to book rather than booking online as a longer appointment may be required.
